Baby 2b Nashville - Giveaway

I would like to introduce to you... Jacqueline Friesen from Baby 2b Nashville. I recently photographed a beautiful tutu made by Jacqueline and I fell so in love with her work. You can check out her work at her Website or in her fun Etsy shop.



Lucky for us Jacqueline shares some of her inspiration with us.

1. How did you get into the business? I was invited to a slew of baby showers and was trying to get creative with my gifts. I have been selling diaper cakes and various baby gifts since 2007. The tutus came about as I was searching the internet one day for bow making instructions. I made my first tutu and all my friends started clamoring for more. How could I resist?
2. Was this always your goal? Nope. I started out just because I wanted to give an original baby gift. I never dreamed it would turn into a full time business. I even had to hire help for the Halloween season this year.
3. What are your inspirations? I love, love, love babies and little girls. I only have one child and he is a boy so this is how I get my girly on…
4. What is your taste in music? I truly like a little of everything. My faves are any kind of hip hop dance music. I am a little stuck in the 90s because that is when I went clubbing. A LOT!
5. Who do you aspire to be like? As successful as? I aspire to be like my Mom. She passed away over 20 years ago and truly was my hero and best friend. She had a laugh that could be heard from across the room. She would hug me when I was down and then give me a kick in the pants to keep me going… As for success? I just want to be happy and remembered as a Godly woman who touched many people’s lives in a positive way.
6. What is your favorite aspect of art? I love creating beautiful things. Each time I create an item I fall in love with it. They are like precious gifts and I feel lucky to be the person who creates them. Corny, huh?
7. What do you put in your art that represents you? My eye for all things beautiful and the love I have for babies and the new mom. Being a mom is very special and I like to think I create things that remind people how special life can be…
8. Do you try to make a statement with your art? Not really…
9. Tell us something little known about you. I once danced onstage with the Red Hot Chili Peppers… I like to dance, a lot, by myself!
